Bitumen based corrosion protection has been used for decades onshore and offshore. The excellent sealant properties of bitumen are well known, and it is a proven fact that steel pipelines protected with bitumen based corrosion protection systems have lasted for more than 50 years in some of the harshest environments on earth.
Over the years we have accumulated extensive experience with bitumen and its outstanding water and corrosion resistant properties which we used to enter into the market of corrosion protection of oil & gas pipelines in the North Sea region in the early 1970s. From then and until today the company has gained a global reputation for high quality coating systems in varied conditions such as the Middle East, Far East, South & West Africa, UK, Norway and Russia
The Phoenix Bitumen Enamel Products all meet the requirements in EN 10.300 (which has substituted BS 4147)
